Welcome to Boxscored. These terms are short because the deal is simple: Boxscored is a free, fan-created baseball app, offered in good faith, as-is. By using it, you agree to the following.

1. What Boxscored is

Boxscored is an independent hobby project built and run by one person. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Major League Baseball, any of its clubs, or any school or organization whose name may appear in player data. Statistics are provided by MLB Advanced Media, L.P.

2. Your account

You need an account (email or Google sign-in) to use the app. Keep your sign-in method secure, and don't create accounts for anyone under 13. You can delete your account at any time by contacting support.

3. Acceptable use

• Use the app as a fan — personal, non-commercial use.
• Don't scrape, bulk-harvest, redistribute, or resell data through the app or its endpoints.
• Don't attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service or other accounts.

4. Accuracy of stats

Boxscored works hard to display accurate, timely baseball data, but live data can lag, upstream feeds can hiccup, and derived stats (like WAR estimates) are computed approximations. Nothing in the app is a substitute for official league statistics, and Boxscored should not be relied on where accuracy has consequences (contests, wagering, journalism — check official sources).

5. No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. It's a free fan project: outages, bugs, and dormant stretches (say, a lockout winter) can happen. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Boxscored and its creator are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service.

6. Changes and termination

Features may change, and the service may be modified, paused, or discontinued. If Boxscored ever introduces paid features, existing use won't be silently converted — any change like that will be announced clearly in advance. Accounts that violate these terms may be suspended or removed.

7. Intellectual property

The Boxscored name, design, and original content belong to its creator. Team names, logos, player photos, and statistics belong to their respective owners and are used to identify real-world subjects.
